Family Policy

The Lighthouse Ministries’ Nehemiah House was the vision of Teen Challenge graduates Dan Henderson and his wife Tay. Dan passed away in 2004, but the Nehemiah House continues under Tay’s leadership as the Executive Director. The Nehemiah House provides a safe and stable environment for men to go through treatment for life controlling issues. First and foremost God’s love and forgiveness are shared with the men with the belief that, “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.” II Corinthians 5:17

A Second Chance

The Nehemiah House offers the opportunity for a new beginning to those who might not find it elsewhere. Many of the men have lost their independence as a result of criminal behavior or through the ravages of addiction. We offer help to overcome these limitations that have become hindrances to their success. When a client begins the program, he commits to 12 months of residential treatment, training, group and individual counsel sessions. The sessions deal with a variety of treatment classes from a Biblical viewpoint.
