End of Year Giving

Dear Friends,

Thanks to you, we have served over 50,000 meals daily to men, women and children in 2016.  On behalf of them, thank you for allowing us to expand our feeding program called “Dining with Dignity.”  With the expansion of our facility we have more families that eat dinner meals here.

I recently helped a lady who had been in an abusive relationship and had lost all of her belongings.  She had gotten off drugs and needed help with clothes, toiletries and she needed a job.   She wanted to work, I made a call, pointed her in the direction to a local business owner.  She filled out the on-line application, got an interview and she’s working now.   Now that she found a job she can save up for her first month’s rent. Every day, your support makes stories like this possible.

Our Nehemiah House Program for men is a 12-month faith-Based Recovery program that offers an opportunity for a new beginning to those who might not find it elsewhere.  We offer help to overcome the ravages of addiction.  We would like to expand our beds from 12 to 15 and add an additional part-time staff person.  We can’t do it without your help. The cost to add 3 more beds is $20,000.

Today, we’re launching our 2016 Year-End Campaign.  Our goal is to help to serve an additional 3000 meals, bring our guests in from the cold and find a way to get their lives back on track.  Even though we served over 50,000 meals last year, there are still 52 days a year that we are currently not serving.

With your help, we could add the 52 days to our meal program and add 3 more beds to our recovery program!

That’s why our goal for this campaign is to raise $75,000 by December 31st If we raise that amount, we’ll be able to provide food for 3000 more meals and house 3 more men into our recovery program this year. We need your help to make it happen.

Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet our goal and bring 500 more people in from the cold?

We simply can’t do it without you.  Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who are still in need.

Thank you for your continued support and friendship.
